Lying was normal

I lied – not just big lies, but even the small stuff where it didn’t matter. So I made a decision!

My mother lied about her drinking and my father lied whenever he felt it would be beneficial for him. My rolemodels were liars and it became totally normal and acceptable for me to lie as well.

Many of us live in a culture where white lies are socially acceptable. I decided to challenge that and tell the honest truth every time. You can hear more in the video above.

How are you with lies? Do you prefer if people lie to you and do rather want the truth even if it hurts a little?

Do you tell white lies or even the bigger ones and if you do, how is that good for you? There’s always a bonus for us in everything we do, so I would encourage you to reflect on the benefit for you in lying.

Maybe this video can inspire you to rethink it and skip the white lies. Many people are afraid to not use white lies, because they think the alternative is being mean. But that’s not true. Maybe you just don’t know how to tell the truth without being mean? That doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you, it just means you lack the tools to do it.

I hope you enjoy this video!
